Description

We are looking for the facilitator in the Youth Exchanges implemented during the project.

“Youth for Europe” is one of the 14 projects approved by the EU Commission in the framework of the “European Youth together” call of Erasmus+ Programme. The aim of the project is to promote European Citizenship among young people of Europe through international youth exchanges on EU policies. The project will raise awareness on European Policies, will foster actively participation of young people and will support the capacity of partners to implement advocacy actions and to develop youthforeurope.eu platform. This website will give the chance to young people and youth organisations to find info on EU policies, to vote the proposals created by young people and the videos they created during the Youth Exchanges and will host mobility opportunities for young people posted by organisations working in the field.

Requested trainer profile

Below the international meetings in which the Youth Exchange Facilitator will be involved. Please note we expect the selected person to participate in ALL the below meetings:

- A2 = Seminar on Methodologies (Spain), 6th – 14th of February 2019

- A3 = YE on Education and Training (Italy), 9th – 19th of April 2019 (10 nights)

- A6 = Mid Term Evaluation (Hungary), 10th – 17th of June 2019 (7 night)

- A7 = TC for Youth leaders (Romania), 5th – 12th of July 2019 (7 nights)

- A9 = YE on Environment (Romania), 4th – 14th of October 2019 (10 nights)

- A10 = TC for Youth leaders (Germany), 18th – 25th of October 2019 (7 nights)

- A12 = YE on Environment (Spain), 4th – 14th of December 2019 (10 nights)

- A13 = Large Scale YE APV (Italy), 24th – 27th of April 2020 (3 nights)

- A14 = Large Scale YE (Italy), 2nd 10th of May 2020 (8 nights)

Required competences:

  • Have significant practical experience in the facilitation of Youth Exchanges and Training Courses under Erasmus+:Youth field (at least 10 events facilitated)
  • Have experience in group decision-taking process through non formal education activities
  • Be self-motivated, interested in Advocacy and EU policies, able to work under pressure and with young people (18 – 30 y.o.)
  • Have coordinating and crisis management skills to deal with conflicts and misunderstandings during Youth Exchanges arising in particular in the stressful process of creating the Policy Proposal
  • Have a good level in English: at least B2 in speaking, understanding and writing. Other languages are not required.

Working conditions

The amount of salary can vary according to the experience of the candidate. The budget is between 5.000€ and 10.000€. The payment will be done through invoice.

80% of Travel costs and 100% of all other costs (food, accommodation, local transport etc) will be covered by the project.

Team composition

All the job will be managed in cooperation with Joint and with the other trainer (Benjamin from Momentum World).

The 2 trainers will facilitate together the TCs for leaders and the Large Scale Youth Exchange while each of them will facilitate 3 Youth Exchanges with the help of Host Staff, Group Leaders and an expert on the topic of the exchange. Indeed each youth exchange will focus on one of the following 3 topics:

  • 1- “Youth”: Education, job and mobility/ training policies for young people;
  • 2- “Media”: Social media manipulation, social media bullying, hate crimes and media literacy;
  • 3- “Environment”: Health (mental problems / depression), Food quality, Cities’s pollution.

The selected trainer in particular will facilitate 2 Youth Exchanges on "Environment" and 1 Youth Exchange on "Youth" while is not foreseen the involvement in "Media" at the moment.

The main goal of each Youth Exchange will be then for young people to create policy proposals to improve the current European regulation.

Tasks

  • To train the Youth leaders in the facilitation of the Youth Exchange and in the management of their national group
  • To support and coordinate Youth Leaders in the facilitation of the Youth Exchange
  • To facilitate the definition of the policy proposals of international groups during the Youth Exchanges
  • To support and motivate Youth leaders the participants in the promotion of the proposals after the YE.
